The renowned publisher has appointed Ben Brinkman from Respawn Entertainment to lead the development team at their internal studio, which is currently developing the forthcoming over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as Project Ethos.

The new appointee assumes the role of studio head at 31st Union following the dismissal of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' lackluster unveiling last fall.

On Wednesday, 2K president a key figure notified employees about this decision through an internal memo, which stressed that playtesting had indicated the requirement for a more defined vision.

The president stated that the developers is now reimagining Project Ethos with a refreshed vision, aiming to better meet player expectations.

Brinkman presently serves in the position of executive producer and production lead at Respawn Entertainment for their flagship title. Brinkman previously worked at Treyarch and Activision in diverse production roles on the Call of Duty games, and, prior to that, had assignments at other industry leaders.
